Thursday, November 3 - Atlanta Stories of the Quilt
Join us for Drink in Design on Thursday, November 3, when employees and volunteers at the NAMES project – the organization that serves as custodian for the AIDS Memorial Quilt – will discuss such topics as the making of panels that commemorate the lives of local individuals and the upkeep and repair of the quilt.
Music before and after the Quilt Stories will be presented by the band Christ, Lord — a six-piece folk ensemble based in Atlanta known for their smorgasbord of authentic and traditional Eastern European folk and gypsy music, turn of the 20th Century American folk, Vaudeville, and Latin folk.
