I buy design books and I comb the web seeking out new places to discover new ways of designing...you should be doing the same. I'm selective about which books I lay money down on for my library but I know that I get great pleasure out of looking at these books over and over again as pleasure and as resource material.
Looking at others who design is a great inspiration to my own work. I am always thinking "I wish I had thought of that idea" or "perhaps I can improve on that idea" or even "That's the worst idea I ever saw published." Learn to scrutinize other designs because it gives your own work a sense of self and context.
